Brandywine Foot & Ankle Doctors

As one of the region’s premier providers of foot and ankle surgical services, Dr. Vincent J. Pongia Jr., Dr. Kevin J. DeAngelis and Dr. Brandon Bosque specialize in comprehensive foot and ankle surgery for the entire family. They are also one of the few specialty groups in the Delaware Valley to offer wound care of the lower extremity with hyperbaric oxygen certification. Areas of specialization include reconstructive foot and ankle surgery & diabetic wound care. These physicians are also laser certified.

Dr. Pongia received his undergraduate degree in biology from DeSales University and earned his medical degree from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He is board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He has served as Chief of Podiatry at Brandywine Hospital and is a frequent guest speaker at area health seminars on the topic of diabetic foot health.

Dr. DeAngelis and Dr. Bosque also earned medical degrees from the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Pongia and Dr. DeAngelis are board certified by the American Board of Podiatric Surgery in forefoot & rearfoot reconstructive surgery. Dr. Pongia and Dr. DeAngelis are both Fellows of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Dr. Bosque is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a board qualified Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons.

All three physicians are associated with Brandywine, Phoenixville and Pottstown Hospitals as well as the Phoenixville Surgery Center at Limerick. They also work out of Brandywine and Pottstown Wound Care Centers and see patients at both our Coatesville and Limerick locations.

Vincent Pongia JR. DPM, FACFAS

Dr. Vincent J. Pongia Jr. has been providing expert and compassionate medical and surgical care of foot and ankle disorders for over 30 years. He is a graduate of Salesianum High School, DeSales University and Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Residency training in Foot and Ankle Surgery was accomplished at Metropolitan Hospital, Bryn Mawr Hospital and Chester Crozer Hospitals. In addition to surgical training, this residency also concentrated in Wound Care and Limb Salvage.

Dr. Pongia is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, specializing in Reconstructive Foot and Ankle Surgery and Trauma. He is also a Wound Care Specialist and certified in Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, Laser Surgery and ankle arthroscopy. In addition, Dr. Pongia has served as an educator with a teaching appointment at the V.A. Medical Center in Coatesville, PA, training surgical residents in Foot and Ankle Surgery. He continues to train the incoming surgical residents at Brandywine and Phoenixville Hospitals, as well as Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Over the years, Dr. Pongia has served as Service Chief of Podiatric Surgery at Brandywine Hospital and also has hospital privileges at Phoenixville and Pottstown. He is the first Podiatric Physician voted The Top Doc in Main Line Today in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016. Dr. Pongia has been in private practice in Chester County for over 30 years, maintaining the highest standards of care for his patients. Dr. Pongia currently practices with Dr. Kevin DeAngelis and Dr. Brandon Bosque, and remains firmly committed to serving his patients and the surrounding community.

Kevin J DeAngelis DPM MS FACFAS

Dr. DeAngelis has been providing expert medical and surgical management of foot and ankle disorders in the community for over 15 years.

Dr. DeAngelis graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine, where he received the Leonard Hymes, D.P.M. Award, Temple Radiology award and the orthopedic Award. He was chief resident during his surgical residency at Mercy Suburban Hospital, which focused on foot and ankle trauma and complicated diabetic wounds.

Dr. DeAngelis is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association, Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association and is a Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Board Certified in Foot Surgery; Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery, Associate of American Professional Wound Care Association, Hyperbaric Oxygen Certified and Wound Care Specialist; as well as Laser Certified. Diabetic wounds and Limb Salvage, Ankle Arthroscopy, as well as the Comprehensive Scope of Fore Foot & Rear Foot Surgery are amongst the multitude of services he provides. Dr. DeAngelis is the Medical Director of the Brandywine Wound Care Center.

Dr. DeAngelis currently serves as Director of residency training at Brandywine Hospital and serves as the Chief of Podiatric surgery. He was voted in Top Docs of Main Line Today in 2010, 2011, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Brandon Bosque

Dr. Brandon Bosque is a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association and a board qualified Associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. He received his bachelor’s degree at Monmouth University in New Jersey as a Pre-Med major with a double minor in Anthropology and Political Science. He graduated from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. Dr. Bosque completed his comprehensive surgical residency at Chestnut Hill Hospital and served as chief resident during his final year. As a resident, he trained at the University of Pennsylvania Sports Medicine Dept. where he was able to treat high-level Division I college athletes.

Dr. Bosque is highly trained in all facets of foot and ankle medicine and surgery and treats patients of all ages. He is an active part of the Brandywine Wound Care Center. He regularly utilizes state-of-the-art, modern treatment options such as the use of stem cells, PRP injections, laser, and hyperbaric oxygen therapy. He is published in the Journal of the American Podiatric Medicine Association and regularly gives lectures and educational seminars in the community. His warm bedside manner puts patients at ease and makes him a favorite among pediatric patients. Dr. Bosque is of Latin decent and he speaks Spanish. El habla español.
